Transfer Process
Navigating the transfer of academic credits can be complex, but we aim to make it as straightforward as possible. The following sections outline the key steps in the credit transfer process at Jersey College.
Obtain Your Transcripts
Request your transcripts from your previous institution to be sent to Jersey College. Official transcripts are required to be submitted for transfer credit evaluation, and they must be received and reviewed by Jersey College prior to a student’s initial enrollment.
Credit Evaluation
We will evaluate your credits based on the courses you've completed and their alignment with our curriculum. This process typically takes two to three weeks. Course descriptions, objectives, syllabi, projects, examinations, and other documentation may be requested by Jersey College to demonstrate equivalency.
Challenge Exam
Students may be required to take and pass a Challenge Exam to receive transfer credit, especially for courses older than 5 years.
